Dana Gardner

Dana brings to Pilates her love of sports and fitness. She has been successful in helping people of all abilities to improve their body awareness, posture, strength and stamina.

A certified Pilates instructor, Dana's certifications include Ron Fletcher Program of Study, Pat Guyton Conservatory, Balanced Body University, and Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), the international professional association for the Pilates method.

Outside of her professional Pilates training, Dana is a sports and fitness enthusiast and has been certified as a Personal Trainer through both the Cooper Institute and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Dana offers sports-specific conditioning for athletes and greater flexibility and strength for the everyday person.

Dana is certified through the Pink Ribbon Program, she offers Pilates to support the mind, body and spirit for the physical and mental wellness of those recovering from breast cancer surgery.

Dana is a licensed Continuing Education Provider for the Texas Department of State Health Services - Massage. Dana introduces Pilates as a self-improvement program for Massage Therapists to build and maintain their minds and bodies. Beyond earning credits, students will experience the Pilates method, grow in mind-body awareness and discover ways to apply Pilates to their daily lives and practices.

As an active member of the Pilates Houston Association (PHA), Dana has provided pro-bono Pilates classes at the Sally's House, a Salvation Army women’s shelter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shannon Anderson
BFA, PMA-CPTi

Shannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. She is a second-generation Pilates teacher who has received extensive training from the Ron Fletcher Program of Study and is the Houston-area facilitator for Fletcher Pilates teacher-training. Shannon is also certified by the Physical Conditioning Centre where she studied with Elizabeth Jones-Boswell both the classical and therapeutic aspects of the Pilates method.

Shannon has been teaching Pilates for nearly a decade. She has taught Pilates for the Houston Ballet Academy and has been successful in helping people of all ages and abilities to enhance their lives through the Pilates method of exercise. As vice-president of the Pilates Houston Association (PHA), Shannon has been instrumental in the outreach program. She has helped orchestrate the annual PHA workshops, offering quality continuing education for teachers. She has also been responsible for coordinating volunteer efforts which have included free Pilates classes at Sally’s House (a women’s shelter) and Pilates Day ‘workout for St. Jude Children’s Hospital’ fundraiser.

A member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and PMA-certified, Shannon enjoys attending the annual conferences through which she has had the opportunity to hear many of the first generation teachers first-hand. Shannon is an approved CE provider for the American Council on Exercise. She is also a licensed Continuing Education Provider for the Texas Department of State Health Services - Massage.
